Guardians of L.U.S.T. 0.8.0: Crimson Sunset with Celeste and Gunslinger combat
An evening with Celeste and a fully animated NSFW scene, the first version of Gunslinger combat and 35 updated comic panels.
Greetings, agents! Rocketman on comms.
0.8.0 is here: download the new build. It brings a new romantic encounter with Celeste (with a fully animated NSFW scene!), the first look at Gunslinger combat across the game, and a range of fixes and improvements.
Crimson Sunset: Celeste invites you outside
You brought the Princess home safely and saved Celeste a serious political headache. After your report she invites you to get some fresh air on the surface above K-92 Eos.
Under the evening sky the conversation turns personal: what she wants from power, what it costs her and where you stand. Support her ambitions or challenge her decisions. You can disagree with her and still grow closer.
The evening includes a three-panel comic and an optional fully animated NSFW scene with Celeste, which you can rewatch in Memory. Finish the Princess assignment and make your choice during the meeting to unlock the intimate continuation.
Gunslinger: build your next shot
This is the first version of the new Gunslinger combat system. We’ll keep refining its balance, encounter variety and readability in the next patches, based on your feedback. Tell us which combinations you find useful and where fights start to feel repetitive.
Your feedback after the move to Match-3 brought classic battles back in this new format. Gunslinger now handles the main fights; Match-3 stays in special encounters and puzzle minigames.
Six ammunition families. Three stances. Eighteen combinations. For example, reactive rounds can stun the nearest enemy, keep the farthest enemy stunned longer, or weaken every enemy’s next attack, depending on your stance.

Arrange the cylinder, build Resonance and decide how to spend your remaining shot charges. An empty cylinder refills automatically, and you can keep firing while you have charges left (they’re shown above the Fire button). A manual reload clears jams and gives the enemies their turn; your charges and tools refresh at the start of your next turn.
- Builds that grow as you play. Unlock new ammunition and tools as you progress.
- Enemy behaviour in development. I’m still tuning enemy roles and ways to disrupt their actions. The goal is to give you reasons to switch targets: break a commander’s attack setup, interrupt a boss or wound a Regenerator’s marked ally to prevent a heal.
- New combat art. New idle, attack and hit poses for the Agent and many enemies, plus 13 battlefield backgrounds.
- Learn through play. Reworked tutorials with real gameplay screenshots explain the cylinder, stances and tools. Let me know where anything is still unclear.
Enemy intentions show what’s coming before it happens. Status icons sit below health bars, and your remaining shot charges are shown above Fire.
Weapons are getting clearer roles too. Salamandra gives you another cylinder rotation, while Weighty Tommy favours critical hits.

The stance art follows the mechanics: the blue Duelist fires from the hip at the nearest opponent, the green Aim reaches the enemy at the back, and the red Gunslinger stance uses a two-handed grip for group attacks. Each has its own idle and attack pose, changing as the cylinder moves through the stance sequence.

Story and dialogue
We fixed inconsistencies in the story and rewrote parts of several characters’ dialogue. Marcus, Ignis and Gaia now have fuller conversations, different ways to approach them and reactions to your decisions.
We corrected the Agent’s face in several comics so he looks the same from scene to scene. This is part of a wider update to 35 panels across 11 comics, which also includes new panel timing.
Marceline’s show has changed
Meet Marceline in her saloon, watch the musicians take the stage, then see her performance turn into a fight for survival. New illustrated events let you choose how to handle the chaos between battles.
Afterwards, question her about the hunt or go straight for the information you came for. You can also invite Marceline and her vampire musicians to play in your own bar on Eos. The invitation brings the group into the Vault.
Also in 0.8.0
- Corrected localization in all seven supported languages and filled in missing interface translations, including Chinese. Fixed dialogue pagination that could repeat parts of words.
- Better spacing for long event texts, reward windows and the quest journal in all seven languages.
- Fewer unnecessary confirmations in conversations, clearer objective completion. A failed terminal hack now explains how to continue.
- Fixed the Vault overview and the rocket highlight, plus image fragments left over after changing the window’s proportions.
- Better expedition save continuation and map readability. Joy Fields now completes after the final conversation following Vespa.
- Fixed the missing scene image in the Princess minigame and checked its restart and continuation. Added an explanation of the progress gauge.
- Removed the unrelated ability and mana list from the equipment briefing.
- Clearer equipment descriptions. The basic Gunslinger tutorial now appears in the first fight, including the opening prison encounter.
- Fixed an autosave error that could appear when starting a new game.
Tell us which Gunslinger combination you rely on, and how your evening with Celeste went. Thank you for supporting Guardians of L.U.S.T.!
End of transmission.
