The short version: we count visits to understand what works on the site. We don’t use cookies for that, we don’t keep your IP address and we don’t share the numbers with anyone.

What we count

When you open a page or click something like “Download free demo”, a subscription button or the language menu, your browser sends a short note to our own server. It contains:

  • the page and what was clicked (for example, which game and which platform)
  • the site language
  • the site you came from (only its domain, like reddit.com) and the campaign tags in the link (utm_source and similar)
  • how long the page was on screen and how far you scrolled it

From the request itself, the server works out your country, the type of device (phone, tablet or computer), the browser and the operating system.

How we tell visitors apart without cookies

To know how many different people came, the server mixes your IP address and browser name with a random key and keeps only the result, a short code. The key is replaced every day and the old one is deleted. Tomorrow the same person gets a different code, and nobody, us included, can turn the code back into an IP address.

Your IP address is not saved anywhere: not in the statistics and not in the server logs.

What we don’t do

  • No analytics cookies and no identifiers stored in your browser.
  • No Google Analytics, no advertising pixels, no ads.
  • We don’t sell or share the data. It stays on our own server in Amsterdam (EU).

What your browser remembers

The site keeps a few settings in your browser so you don’t have to repeat them: that you confirmed you are 18 or older, whether 18+ images are shown without blur and the language you picked. They are never sent to us. Visitors from Russia who choose “Open the site anyway” get a cookie called wp_fork that remembers this choice for a year.

Other services

The YouTube trailer loads only when you press play, and it comes from youtube-nocookie.com. Links to Patreon, Boosty, SubscribeStar, itch.io, Steam, Discord and X take you to their sites, which have their own privacy rules.

Country lookup

The country is determined with the IP to Country Lite database by DB-IP, licensed under CC BY 4.0.

Opt out

Press the button below and visits from this browser will no longer be counted. The choice is stored in your browser, so if you clear the site’s data, press it again.

Your visits are counted in our statistics, without your IP address.
