Guardians of L.U.S.T. 0.5.3: the Chef is sharpening her knives
Smarter enemies, hazards on the board, reworked gear and a first look at Siren's quest.

What’s in 0.5.3
This patch is about the combat layer: making fights smarter, clearer and more distinct from each other.
- Smarter enemies. The AI now hunts for the mana it needs, grabs dangerous tiles and goes for big matches. It plays the same board you do, and it plays it better than before.
- Readable intentions. The ability an enemy is winding up is highlighted in the HUD, and the resources it needs pulse on the board, so you can see what’s coming and decide what to deny.
- Field hazards everywhere. Acid pools, fire, blood trails, spores, roots, grenades, ambushes: hazards now live on the board and can be cleared with matches. Each faction has its own set.
- Gear rework and new rewards. New items in the reward pool, and existing item properties reworked across the board.
- Laila’s quest fixed. The map, the arena fight and the NSFW scene now run as one chain: the scene opens properly after the fight and lands in the memory gallery where it belongs.
- Boss fights got new tricks. Vasquez and several other enemies got new combat mechanics. Expect them to fight smarter and dirtier.
- Text and localization. Some of Marceline’s lines were polished, and missing translations filled in.
- No more dead boards. If the Match-3 board has no moves left, it reshuffles for free before the next action, on both the player’s and the enemy’s turn, so nobody gets stuck.
- Plus a pile of fixes across saves, expeditions and rewards.
What’s next
Over the next patches I’m focusing on personal quests and Match-3 challenges.
Siren
The first of them is Siren’s quest: a side story with its own comic, an NSFW scene and unique Match-3 fights. And she’s not going easy on our boy: Siren is cooking up a challenge that will put his stomach to the test. Hope he’s got the guts for it.
Voice acting
We still plan to voice the NSFW scenes and other parts of the game, with the NSFW scenes first, of course.
Localization
I’m working out the right way to translate the game into more languages, especially the ones you keep asking for. I expect to show the first results in the next update.
